Distributing Social Assistance In Serang, Jokowi: It's IDR 1.2 Million, Isn't That Enough?
SERANG - President Joko Widodo paid a working visit to Banten today. His working visit was initiated by distributing social assistance for the beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program (PKH) and business capital for traders in Baros Market, Serang Regency.
There, Jokowi distributed social assistance of IDR 1.2 million directly to the beneficiaries.
"This is Rp. 1.2 (million), for cooking oil of Rp. 300 thousand, is that enough?" Jokowi asked residents who received assistance at Baros Market, Serang, Friday, June 17.
To the beneficiaries, Jokowi asked that the assistance could be used as well as possible as additional business capital.
"This 1.2 million should be used for additional business capital, or Rp. 300 thousand to buy basic necessities, mainly cooking oil," he said.
On that occasion, Jokowi hopes that the economy in the country can grow well so that the government can continue to provide assistance to people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Hopefully in the future state finances will improve so that the aid budget can be increased," he said.
Apart from distributing social assistance. Jokowi also checked the price of bulk cooking oil in Baros Market. A number of officials accompanying Jokowi on this working visit include Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, Regent of Serang Ratu Tatu Chasanah, Chair of the DPRD Serang Regency Bahrul Ulum, and Head of the Market Service Adang Rahmat.
