One Of Three Robbers In Ciledug Arrested, Police Chase Two Other Perpetrators

TANGERANG - Police have arrested one of the three perpetrators suspected of carrying out a robbery in the Ciledug area, Tangerang City. The 3 people have the initials SM, B and I.

The Head of the Ciledug Police, Kompol Noor Maghantara, explained that the robbery took place on Wednesday, June 15, in the early hours of the morning. The suspect was caught by residents and handed over to the police.

The incident began when the victim, NE, was sleeping with her children at her house.

"At that time, suddenly there was a knock on the door of his house at around 1 pm on that Wednesday. And when he opened (the door) he was immediately pointed at with a sharp knife, with two men who finally entered," Noor said when confirmed, Thursday, June 16.

"While another person is waiting in front of the house," he continued.

When the perpetrators managed to get into the victim's house, they divided the tasks from looking for valuable materials and holding the victim at gunpoint.

"So one person is guarding the victim, the other is rummaging and taking the victim's valuables," he said.

After robbing the victim's house, the perpetrator fled the scene (TKP). As a result, NE immediately shouted until he finally woke up the local residents.

"Finally, the residents came out and the three perpetrators fled (hidden) in a nearby cemetery. One was caught by SM and the mob was enraged. Then also because members were also passing, the perpetrator was finally arrested," he said.

The police secured evidence of a knife, money and a cellphone that was stolen from the victim's house. The police are still pursuing perpetrators B and I.

"It's true that we are still looking for the two perpetrators who fled with the initials B and I. The evidence was secured by money, motorbikes, cellphones and knives," he concluded.
