Anies Releases Contingent Of Ecclesiastical Choir Competing In Yogya: Make Jakarta's Name Great

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan released the departure of the Jakarta ecclesiastical choir contingent to take part in the 13th National Ecclesiastical Choir Party (Pesparawi) competition.

The 13th National Pesparawi will be held in the Special Region of Yogyakarta from 19 to 26 June 2022. In this release, Anies advised the contingent to exert their best abilities, so that they can make Jakarta proud.

"That's where the focus is, this departure is for a competition that will bring the good name of all Jakartans, make Jakarta's good name good," said Anies at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, June 16.

Anies said he was optimistic that the performance of the Jakarta contingent would amaze the judges. This is because the competition was postponed by a year and the training time was more intense to prepare for the competition. Moreover, this choir team has participated in international competitions.

“We realize that Jakarta has enormous potential, because we always operate with international benchmarks. So we hope that this contingent will present the best, impress them, and we are waiting in Jakarta with proud achievements," said Anies.

Furthermore, Anies also advised the participants to maintain their health.

“This means that the entire contingent must maintain stamina, health and rest. Make sure all energy is focused on success in this competition,” he added.

For information, the 13th National Pesparawi will be attended by 9,424 participants from various regions. The plan, this competition will be opened by President Joko Widodo. While the Minister of Religion is expected to give directions, it will be closed by Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin.
