Song Kang Returns Again, Sweet Home Continues To Seasons 2 & 3 With New Characters

JAKARTA - Another latest news comes from a series from South Korea. Netflix announced Sweet Home is continuing into season two and three.

Today, Wednesday, June 15, Netflix shared a photo of the cast wearing "Sweet Home II&III" shirts. Song Kang as Cha Hyeon Su is confirmed to star in the new two seasons.

Besides Song Kang, there are Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si Young, Go Min Si, Park Gyu Young who also continue their characters. Not only that, a series of new characters will also be introduced in the new season.

The new characters are Yoo Oh Seong, Oh Jung Se, Kim Moo Yeol, and Jung Jin Young. Netflix itself has not explained their names and roles in the latest season of Sweet Home.

“The second season will feature a new setting. Some of the technical details that were not polished in the first season will also be better present in the second season," said director Lee about the new season of Sweet Home.

Sweet Home tells the story of Cha Hyeon Su (Song Kang) who lives alone in an apartment called Green Home. He plans to end his life after being abandoned by his family. Hyeon Su is shocked when Green Home is attacked by a swarm of monsters that represent another side of humans. The first season ended with Hyeon Su contracting the monster plague. The first season of Sweet Home was released in 2020 and won a number of awards, including the 2021 Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA) and the 3rd Asia Contents Awards. The first season of Sweet Home can be watched via Netflix.
