Residential House In The Athlete's Wisma Area Caught Fire, 70 Personnel Were Deployed
JAKARTA - A house on Jalan Sunter Muara or the Wisma Athlete area, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta was burned down. The fire was getting bigger, so firefighters mobilized 70 personnel to be deployed to the location.
The head of the North Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Satriadi Gunawan, confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 14, at 23:45 WIB.
"Yes, that's right. The house (sold out on fire), 70 personnel were deployed," said Satriadi to VOI, Wednesday, June 13.
Satriadi said the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit. But for his part, he admits he doesn't know it yet.
"Information from residents is suspected of having an electric short circuit. (For his part) there is no information yet," he said.
A total of 14 units of North Jakarta Fire Department (Damkar) were deployed. And the fire can be extinguished in just 30 minutes.
"At 00.01 we arrived. The 15 minute delay had cooled down. At 00.46 WIB, the operation was declared complete," he said.
He confirmed that there were no casualties in the incident. However, the loss is still unknown.
"(The death toll) is nil. The loss is still unknown," he concluded.
