The Joint Team To Unload The Khilafatul Muslimin Signboards In 3 Locations In Lampung
BANDARLAMPUNG - A joint TNI-Polri team together with Pringsewu Regency Government officials, Lampung Province, dismantled the nameplates and attributes of the Khilafatul Muslimin in three different locations.
"The demolition that we carried out followed up on the arrest of the leadership and a number of Khilafatul Muslimin officials by the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police in Bandarlampung a few days ago," said Pringsewu Police Chief AKBP Rio Cahyowidi, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 14.
The three locations for dismantling the nameplates and attributes are at the offices of Khilafatul Muslimin, South Pringsewu Village, Pajaresuk Village, and Pekon Rejosari Pringsewu.
"The demolition went safely and smoothly because there was no resistance from the followers of the Khilafatul Muslimin," he said.
According to him, the Khilafatul Muslimin in Pringsewu is an unlicensed organization. This is based on reports from the relevant agencies.
He asked the leaders and followers of Khilafatul Muslimin Pringsewu not to build and re-install it until they get official permission from the government.
"After we remove them, the signposts and attributes of the Khilafatul Muslimin are then stored in the Pringsewu Kesbangpol Office," he said.
Rio emphasized that if in the future the Khilafatul Muslimin did not comply with the agreement and violated it again, his party and the government would take firm action.
"We will continue to monitor the existence of community groups or organizations in Pringsewu," he said.
Previously, the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police arrested the leader of the Muslim Khilafatil and five of its members at the Khilafatul Muslimin Headquarters in Bandarlampung.
At the time of securing five members of the Khilafatul Muslimin, the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya also secured evidence of Rp. 2 billion, which was suspected to be operational funds for the organization.
After obtaining evidence and securing five members of the Khilafatul Muslimin, the officers continued to investigate the extent of the actions of the Khilafatul Muslimin organization.
