Members Of The House Of Representatives F-PAN: Hopefully With A Reshuffle, Stagnant Ministers Can Be Moved

JAKARTA - House of Representatives Commission II member Guspardi Gaus said he agreed that President Joko Widodo would reshuffle his cabinet. He agreed that the cabinet reshuffle was intended to improve the performance of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.

According to him, the cabinet reshuffle can create enthusiasm in order to improve the performance of ministers in order to accelerate the achievement of President Jokowi's unfinished vision and mission.

"Hopefully with the changes, the stagnant cabinet members can be moved," said Guspardi when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, June 14.

He also hoped that the new names in the cabinet could be an encouragement for the government to return to work properly. Especially in the ministries that are partners of Commission II of the DPR.

For example, in the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR)/National Land Agency (BPN, Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT), as well as in other ministries.

"We hope that the people who appear can be a whip for the government," said Guspardi.

Even so, the member of the DPR's PAN faction emphasized that the cabinet reshuffle is not the domain of the DPR, and is the president's full prerogative. According to Guspardi, only President Jokowi knows exactly when the reshuffle will be held and which minister will be replaced.

"If there is a cabinet member who doesn't fit, is stagnant, and so on, the 'report' is of course with the President. This means that the president can change cabinet members, he can also shift to another position. We leave that to the president," he said.

"And the certainty of the cabinet reshuffle is indeed being awaited by the public," added the West Sumatran legislator.
