PDIP Politician Reveals Ministers Who Should Be Reshuffled, Alludes To Farmers' Needs And Cooking Oil

JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives from the PDIP faction, Masinton Pasaribu, revealed the characteristics of ministers who should be reshuffled during the cabinet reshuffle which is rumored to be carried out by President Joko Widodo on Wednesday, June 15, tomorrow.

At first, Masinton doubted the news that Jokowi would reshuffle ministers in the Advanced Indonesia cabinet. This is because the issue of a reshuffle has been raised many times but has not been realized.

"There's a reshuffle? Usually it's just a discourse. Hopefully it will be concrete, so (reshuffle, ed)," Masinton said when met by VOI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 14.

The PDIP politician then emphasized that the ministers in the Jokowi government's cabinet should have been evaluated. The reason is, Masinton assesses that many ministers are no longer focused on their duties.

"Ministers who are no longer focused on their duties as ministers, who are involved in politics with training and education, then ministers who fail to take care of the lives of many people," said Masinton.

"For example, related to the basic needs of farmers, then the need for cooking oil for the people. That's how it is," he continued.

According to the member of Commission III of the DPR, President Jokowi needs to be assisted by ministers who can work on completing government programs until 2024.

"We need ministers who can work, assist the president's duties and accelerate all government programs to the community because the time until 2024 will be," he said.

If the ministers whose characteristics are mentioned by Masinton, it refers to the names of the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo and the Minister of Trade M Lutfi.
