Vice President: Government Accelerates Alleviation Of Extreme Poverty
PANGKALPINANG - Vice President (Wapres) Ma'ruf Amin stated that the government accelerated to solve extreme poverty through the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemeno PMK).
"We are determined to end this extreme poverty by 2024," said the Vice President after opening the International Halal Congress in Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 14.
Therefore, the Vice President said, the government is accelerating how the remnants of extreme poverty after 2021 will be tried by 25 districts and by 2022 as many as 200 districts and the rest in 2023 and 2024 through two coordinating ministries, namely the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture.
"These two coordinating ministries continue to collect data to improve data so that those classified as extreme poverty are known in detail," he said.
He said in addition to providing social protection to the community, but also economic empowerment through the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy and thus extreme poverty can be completed in 2024.
According to him, not only two coordinating ministries, but 30 ministries are also coordinated to collaborate and also support each other.
"What is this ministry doing and what other ministries are doing, so that the work doesn't overlap," he said.
In addition, with the coordination and collaboration between ministries, the confirmation of financing is also going well," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.
