Not Being Absent, Iko Uwais Asks For A Postponement Of The Examination Of The Beating Case

JAKARTA - Actor Iko Uwais is scheduled to conduct an examination today, Tuesday, June 14 at the Bekasi Police Chief. Instead of being absent, it turns out that the lawyer asked for a postponement of the investigation related to the assault case reported by a man named Rudi. What is it?

“We gave a letter of postponement of the examination because our client was busy with activities. The incident took a break so our client wanted to rest,” said Iko Uwais' lawyer, Rahim Key on the same day.

The actor's side asked for a week's delay. In addition, they also reported back to Rudi for defamation.

"So here, the conditions are more or less the same. We saw the whistleblower with the initials R cut a piece of the story and manipulated the facts as if our client did not pay the bill and (confessed) was ganged up on, "explained Rahim.

The beating took place on Saturday, June 11, when Iko Uwais tried to defend himself.

"Even though he (the R) was the one who kicked it first. He reflexively (replied) because his brother wanted to hit the trash can on the head. It happened June 11, 2022 the night of the week," said Rahim.

Currently, Iko Uwais has carried out a post-mortem at the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati. As a result, Iko experienced bruises on his left and hands. Lawyer asks for delay as Iko needs rest.

"It's not because of work, but rather because of his health condition where he should be resting to prepare for filming but (this case) is time-consuming," he said.

Hengki Esika as the Bekasi City Police Chief also confirmed the statement by lawyer Iko Uwais.

“Reported IO and F planned to be summoned but the lawyer said the client could not attend. Lawyers are cooperative to talk about summoning the reported investigation," said Hengki Esika.

"We just summoned him as a witness even though he came in as a reported party because we wanted to see developments first," he continued.
