Woman Suspected Of Abortion Of 7 Fetuses In Makassar Still Undergoing Psychological Examination
MAKASSAR - Makassar Polrestabes investigators are studying the psychology of a woman with the initials NM (29) related to the alleged abortion case of seven fetuses stored in drinking bottles at her rented house in Biringkanaya, Makassar, South Sulawesi.
"Currently, a psychiatric examination is still underway by a psychiatrist with the South Sulawesi Regional Police Biddokes, while later taking DNA samples, both male and female suspects and the seven fetuses," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Makassar Polrestabes AKBP Reonald Simanjuntak, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 14.
The results of the psychiatric examination will depend on the condition of the suspect, and not a psychiatrist, because a mental examination requires calm and conditions. But you can't force it quickly to get maximum results.
Currently, two people have been named as suspects, namely a woman NM and her partner SP (30). Both have undergone a psychiatric examination. From physical observation, they are in good health and ready to undergo psychological tests.
As for DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) matching, it is currently in process, considering that there is a difference of opinion between suspect NM that the seven fetuses were the result of an illicit relationship with suspect SP. However, SP denied that to his knowledge there were only four fetuses from that relationship.
"But that was without him knowing. Until now, there are still four and seven (fetus). So, we have to do a DNA test to see if it's true that the seven fetuses are the result of their relationship," he said.
However, from the initial examination of the statements of the female perpetrators, there was never any threat, nor did the men. They both agreed to commit abortion violations.
"So they both decided to have the abortion, and both agreed to keep the baby in a crib (drinking bottle) until they would get married as promised, but it didn't happen," said Reonald.
Previously, the Forensic Operator of the Biddokes of the South Sulawesi Police, Dr. Deni Mathius, explained that from the results of the crime scene (TKP) by the Doctors team at the place where the fetus was found, it was initially assessed as one fetus. However, during examination and development in the forensic room, it turned out that there were seven that had become skeletons.
"There are even some that have already been destroyed. So the maximum estimate is six to seven months (fetal age). It's under three months, because it has been destroyed," explained Deni's doctor.
When asked how long the fetus was stored until it decomposed, Deni said, according to the condition of the skeleton, and the results of the examination, it was probably stored in that place for about six months.
