Luhut: The Fruit Of The Job Creation Law Will Be Seen In The Next Few Months
JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said that the results or fruits of the Job Creation Law are actually starting to be felt in the next few months. This optimism emerged after he met the Chief Executive Office (CEO) of the United States International Development Finance Corporation (IDFC) Adam S Boehler on Friday, October 23.
He said the Job Creation Law which cut regulatory obesity made Adam praised Indonesia and made a number of foreign investors tempted to enter the country. This made him believe, in the not too distant future, the law would benefit society.
"This is an extraordinary statement. There are those who say we want to invest in Indonesia alone, even earlier there have even been their commitments that we immediately executed and I have reported President Jokowi by phone and we want to walk," said Luhut in an event entitled 4 Coordinating Ministers. on One Stage: The Jokowi-Ma'ruf One Year Dialogue broadcast on TVRI, Sunday night, 25 October.
"So if you are asked how long it will take (the benefits of the Job Creation Law to be enjoyed, red) now it is running. But I think more fruit will flow in the coming months," he added.
In his meeting with Adam, Luhut explained that the existence of this Job Creation Law made the government guarantee whoever was going to invest in the country.
"So you have an investment that will be safe with a situation like this. He (Adam, red) said, 'wow, it makes sense'," he said.
Furthermore, Luhut understands that this law is imperfect and needs improvement in certain parts. However, this improvement can be done by completing it using Government Regulations (PP), Presidential Regulations (Perpres), to Ministerial Regulations (Permen) which are currently being prepared.
