3 Members Of KPU PAW Officially Inaugurated, 1 Left From West Papua

JAKARTA - Chairman of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Hasyim Asy'ari officially inaugurated the interim replacement (PAW) members of the Central Sulawesi Provincial KPU in Jakarta, Monday 13 June.

"Today, the inauguration of Dr. Nisbah as PAW member of the Central Sulawesi KPU has been carried out, replacing Tanwir Lamaming (deceased)," said RI KPU member Betty Epsilon Idroos in a written statement, quoted by Antara, Monday, June 13.

Betty, who is also the KPU's Data and Information Coordinator, explained that the PAW members of the KPU for the four provinces have been sworn in, namely Central Sulawesi, Central Java KPU, West Java, and DKI Jakarta KPU.

"There is only one province, namely West Papua, whose files are still being processed," he said.

The inauguration, he said, was to accelerate the replacement of vacancies and maximize the work of election organizers.

"The stages of simultaneous elections have started, it takes maximum work from election organizers," he hoped.

In addition, KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022 concerning the Stages and Schedule for the Implementation of the 2024 General Election has also been ratified.

The Indonesian KPU held a national coordination meeting with the aim of consolidating its ranks ahead of the start of the 2024 election stage.

There are two major stages that will soon be held in 2022, namely the verification of political parties as candidates for the 2024 General Election and the recruitment of candidates for the Ad-Hoc PPK and PPS bodies.
