In The Past, PSI Led The Lust For Nyapres, Now It's Down To Class. Wants To Beat DKI, Yan Hope: Still 'High'

JAKARTA - PSI General Chair Giring Ganesha said he has ambitions to become the Governor of DKI Jakarta after the end of Anies Baswedan's position. Democratic Party politician Yan Harahap criticized Giring's intentions.

According to Yan, Giring should be aware of his abilities and expertise if he plans to lead a regional government like DKI Jakarta with complex urban problems.

"It's good to be self-aware, the ambition of nyapres is 'downgrading' to the nyagub," said the Deputy for Strategy and Policy of the Democratic DPP in his Twitter account, @YanHarahap, Monday, June 13.

Yan thinks Giring's ambition is still too high. The intention of the former vocalist of the band Nidji was impossible to materialize.

"Although, personally, 'class' is still 'high' for him," he said.

Meanwhile, Giring has long been eager to become a presidential candidate in the 2024 General Election. Giring also openly disagrees with a figure who has high electability in a number of 2024 presidential candidate surveys.

The figure is Anies Baswedan. For this reason, Giring often attacks Anies on a number of occasions. Especially during the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) process. Even before the end of the Jakarta Formula E racing event.

There was mutual sarcasm when Giring suddenly went to North Jakarta. Giring, which has fallen into the rotten soil of the Jakarta Formula E circuit, satirizes the multi-billion-dollar project.

Anies soon responded to Giring's arrival, who commented on the many goats roaming the future location of the Formula E circuit. According to Anies, Giring had a lot of free time to do things he didn't need.

"It's a pity, yes, the time is really loose, if we, who are a bit busy, don't have enough time to go around unnecessarily," said Anies, Friday, January 21, quoted from the Total Politics YouTube channel.
