The Fate Of 10,000 MSME Bangkalan Assistance In The Hands Of The Central Government

JAKARTA - 10,000 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Bangkalan, East Java, is proposed by the local district government to receive additional business capital assistance. This is an effort to revive the economy amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We have sent the data on UMKM actors to receive the assistance and are waiting for a decision from the central government," said Head of the Bangkalan Cooperative (Kadiskop) and UKM Service Office, Iskandar Ahadiyat in Bangkalan, reported by Antara, Saturday, October 24.

According to him, submission of the list of recipients of UMKM capital assistance is not only through the Bangkalan Regency Government of Cooperatives and SMEs, but is also carried out by financial institutions that are partners with the government.

"The number of Bangkalan UMKM players is as many as 10 thousand who are proposed to receive the assistance. This is through the Bangkalan Regency Government's Cooperative and UKM Service," he said.

He explained that the registration stage began in August 2020, and the proposed UMKM players received the assistance until early October 2020. The amount of business capital assistance that will be received by MSME players is IDR 2.4 million.

The total number of UMKM players in Bangkalan Regency is 12 thousand UMKM, of which the number recorded at the Bangkalan Regency Government Cooperative Office is 1,087 MSMEs.

"This assistance is transferred directly to the beneficiary to the account of each recipient, not through the Cooperatives and UKM Service," he said.

In accordance with the implementation guidelines (operational guidelines) and technical guidelines (juknis), MSME actors who can get additional business capital assistance meet the requirements, namely owning a micro-scale business, Indonesian Citizens (WNI), not as ASN (Civil Servants) or TNI / Polri, and not as BUMN / BUMD employees, and not currently having loans from banks and People's Business Credit (KUR).

If the person concerned is accepted as a beneficiary, there are several administrative requirements that must be completed, namely having a savings book at the aid distribution bank, an ATM card, a photocopy of the identity card in the form of an electronic KTP, and signing a Statement of Absolute Responsibility (SPTJM), and / power of attorney to receive presidential assistance funds (Banpres) for additional MSME venture capital.

Bangkalan Regency is a district on Madura Island with the most positive residents exposed to COVID-19 compared to the other three districts, namely Sampang, Pamekasan and Sumenep Regency.

However, in its development, the district which is located in the westernmost part of Madura Island has succeeded in suppressing the number of positive citizens of COVID-19 who have switched to second place after Sumenep Regency.

Based on data released by the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 in East Java Province, now the number of Bangkalan residents who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 is 590 people, second only to Sumenep, which reached 610 people.

Pamekasan Regency is in third place with 353 confirmed positive residents and the last place, namely Sampang Regency with 282 people.
