Police Arrest 5 Members Of The Khilafatul Muslimin In Lampung, Rp2 Billion Money Secured

BANDARLAMPUNG - The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police arrested five members of the Khilafatul Muslimin at its head office in Bandarlampung.

The arrests of the five members were carried out after the arrest of the leader of the Khilafatul Muslimin Abdul Qadir Baraja on Tuesday (7/6).

The Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Kombes Zahwani Pandra Arsyad, confirmed the arrest of the five members of the Khilafatul Muslimin, which was part of a series of activities carried out by the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya.

"Justify a series of activities in the context of the search where five people have been arrested and have been directly conveyed by the Head of the Bandarlampung Police. These activities have the support of securing the location of the crime scene (TKP) by the Polresta and the Lampung Police," said Pandra, quoted by Antara, Saturday, June 11.

He explained that after the incident, the police from the Polresta and Polda Lampung will continue to monitor the security situation so that conduciveness is maintained so that activities can run as usual.

Pandra also appealed to the people of Lampung to obey all laws, including understanding the ideology of Pancasila as Pancasila was born on June 1.

"In this activity, the Polda Metro Jaya also secured a number of evidences. However, because it is in the realm of the investigators, the Polda Metro Jaya will then submit it to the Polda Metro Jaya," he said.

During the security activity, the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya also secured evidence of money worth Rp. 2 billion which was suspected to be operational funds for the Khilafatul Muslimin organization.

The security of evidence and the five members of the Khilafatul Muslimin will continue to be developed to investigate the extent of the organization's involvement.
