5 Houses In Lebak Were Heavily Damaged By Ground Movement
LEBAK - Five houses of Kebon Kelapa residents RT 05/01 Cilangkap Village, Kalanganyar District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province, were heavily damaged by soil movement, Friday (10/6) at 18.30 WIB after being hit by increasing rainfall in the area.
"Luckily, the family survived and there were no casualties or injuries," said Udin (60), a resident of Kalanganyar, Lebak Regency, quoted by Antara, Saturday, June 11.
The condition of the front of his house collapsed and could no longer be occupied and now the family has fled to the family home.
The disaster was previously predictable, so family members vacated the house, fearing that it would be affected by the movement of the ground.
Moreover, the rainfall in the area tends to increase. In January 2022, his son's house also collapsed due to moving ground.
"We hope the local government can help to rebuild the collapsed house," he explained.
Another resident, Ana (55), said that she and her family had now fled to a relative's house after her house was badly damaged.
He and his family survived the landslide disaster.
"We were spontaneous when we heard a loud sound and immediately saved ourselves and our families by running behind the house, thus avoiding an accident," he explained.
Head of Cilangkap Village, Lebak Yadi Regency, said that five houses were heavily damaged and 30 people were forced to flee to their relatives' houses.
In addition, the 60-meter-long road linking inter-village collapsed with a height of two meters. Currently, the road segment cannot be crossed by four-wheeled or two-wheeled vehicles.
"We appreciate that the residents have been visited by the relevant agencies and the plan is, on Sunday (12/6) tomorrow, the road will be repaired," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Lebak Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Febby Rizky Pratama, said that his party would report the natural disaster to the Regent Iti Octavia Jayabaya to follow up on the natural disaster.
"We are technically waiting for the local government's response and it is hoped that they can be relocated for the construction of permanent housing," he said.
