Talking About The 2024 Presidential Election In Front Of Volunteers, Jokowi: Don't Worry, Say It Later If Someone Influences You

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked his volunteers not to rush to support certain names in the 2024 Presidential Election. Moreover, the government is currently focusing on working to solve problems in the country.

This was conveyed by Jokowi while attending the Team 7 Volunteer gathering in Ancol, North Jakarta today, Saturday, June 11.

"We are currently working hard to solve the country's big problems," said Jokowi in his remarks in front of the volunteers.

"Therefore, I invite you not to be in a hurry. We are working hard to solve the existing problems. There is no need to be complacent," added the former governor of DKI Jakarta.

Jokowi also reminded his volunteers not to be easily influenced by winning certain names. "If someone influences it, convey it later," he added.

Anyone who will be supported in the 2024 presidential election, continued Jokowi, will come from the voice of the community or the grassroots. He made sure he would hear input from volunteers about who should be supported.

However, Jokowi did not want to rush. He is currently waiting for the momentum and when the time comes, he will invite his volunteers to have a dialogue.

"Later, when the momentum is right, I will talk to you again, we will meet again. I will ask my father, mother, brothers and sisters. Who, I will ask who," said the number one person in Indonesia.

"So that later it will be a joint decision. Not my decision but the decision of our volunteers," he added.

Jokowi asked his volunteers to come down and listen to the public regarding who is the right candidate to support during the 2024 presidential election.

"Once again, when the momentum is right, I will talk to you. One by one I will ask questions and we will fully support whoever we have decided," he said.
