5 Easy Ways If You Like Forgot Password On Android Phones

JAKARTA - The number of activities we do every day often makes us forget the personal identification number (PIN) on the smartphone. Don't panic at first, because it turns out that there are easy things to overcome.

However, for you Android smartphone users, you can see how to restore your Android phone when you forget your pattern lock or PIN, as quoted from Makeuseof, Saturday, October 24.

1. Smart Lock

This is an Android feature that allows you to define certain conditions for bypassing the security of your lock screen.

In this feature, you are asked to enter your current lock password to make changes to the feature. Then you can select five possible options to unlock your smartphone without a password.

One of the options can be Face or Voice Match. Then, if you have selected this option before you forgot your password, you can use it to access your phone again.

However, you cannot change Smart Lock or password settings without entering your current password. So, you may still need to factory reset, but at least you can back up all data on your phone first.

2. Find My Device

It turns out that the Find My Device application does not only function to find your lost device. When you forget your phone password, this is the easiest way to regain access to your device. Check out how:

- First use your computer to operate Find My Device.

- Then, go to the Find My Device service with Google, previously known as Android Device Manager.

- Then select the device in question from the list of devices associated with your account. Tap Lock.

- After you lock your phone with a new code, the code will overwrite the original code that you had previously forgotten.

- Finally, you will have access to the phone with the new code.

3. Google Account

As the name suggests, the tech giant Google can do anything. Yes, it turns out that Google can also help if you forget the screen lock on your phone.

Then how does Google work? If you've tried to open it several times without success, don't panic. This is the way to solve that problem.

- When you try to open it many times an option will appear at the bottom of the screen that says Forgot Pattern.

- Click, then log into your Google account.

- Once authenticated with your Google account, you will be able to choose a new PIN, pattern, lock and other options. Then, you can unlock your phone with a new password.

4. Hack Screen Lock

The method this time only works for encrypted devices running Android 5.0 to 5.1.1. But it's worth a try if you fit this way.

To break the lock screen and gain access to your phone, here are the steps.

- Tap on Emergency Call option on your lock screen.

- Use the dialer to enter 10 asterisks. Double tap to highlight this text and select Copy.

- Paste the selected character next to the copied original character.

- Then, keep repeating the process of adding more characters to the password space. Open the camera shortcut and pull the notification shade down.

- Tap the settings icon, then you will be asked to enter the password.

- Long press the input field and select the Paste option. Then repeat the process a few times to copy and paste more characters.

- Finally, the lock screen will crash and allow you to access your device again.

5. Third Party Security or Factory Reset

Some smartphone products often incorporate their own security software into the phone, such as Samsung's Find My Mobile. This feature can be very useful so that you don't use the lock screen when you unlock your phone, but you have to set it up first.

And lastly, if some of the above methods don't work. You have to do a factory reset or Factory Research. Of course, this will also erase all data on your phone.

However, if you've signed into your Google account and backed up, you can log back into the same account after resetting and restoring multiple accounts.
