Remember! Prospective Hajj Is Prohibited From Smoking And Spreading Banners At The Prophet's Mosque In Medina

JAKARTA - Head of the Jamaat Protection Section (Kasi Linjam) for the Medina Work Area (Daker), Harun Al Rasyid, said that prospective pilgrims from Indonesia who departed for the Holy Land in 2022 must know the prohibition on the Prophet's Mosque, Medina, Saudi Arabia.

He explained, smoking is not allowed and spreading banners or attributes containing group or personal identity, such as the name of KBIH or any institution, at the Prophet's Mosque.

"Congregants must strictly obey the rules that apply at the Prophet's Mosque, if it is done it will be secured by the security of the Prophet's Mosque," said Rasyid, quoted from the Hajj Media Center, Friday, June 10.

He said there were five things that were forbidden by the congregation, apart from displaying banners or attributes, and even the red and white flag was also prohibited.

Congregations are prohibited from gathering, three or five people, in one place and chatting together.

Pilgrims are also prohibited from littering around the Prophet's Mosque and must throw garbage in the places provided.

Regarding the ban on smoking in any place around the Prophet's Mosque, worshipers are not even allowed to smoke around the mosque.

Lastly, pilgrims are prohibited from taking items found in the vicinity of the Prophet. If you find dropped items or find any items in the Prophet's mosque or the courtyard of the mosque, it is assumed that you have taken other people's belongings.

If caught stealing or is thought to have stolen, the security of the Prophet's Mosque will secure it immediately and will be taken to their security post for further processing. Items left behind or scattered around the Prophet's Mosque will be collected at Mahfudzat (a place for securing goods).

He appealed to the congregation not to violate the five provisions, because the security of the Prophet's Mosque or Askar will take firm action.
