JAKARTA - The Central Java Police have named Ali Jamroni (previously written by Zamroni) as a suspect in the case of spreading false news in a series of actions by the Khilafatul Muslimin group convoy in the Brebes Regency area. This determination is based on the results of the case title with sufficient evidence.
"The determination of the suspect is against Muhammad Ali Jamroni bin Rotun," said the Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes M. Iqbal Alqudusy when confirmed, Friday, June 10.
From the results of the examination of witnesses and evidence, as well as the title of the case, the actions of the leader of the Khilafatul Muslimin group in the Cirebon area are considered to meet criminal elements.
He was the one who ordered his group members to carry out convoys and distribute leaflets to the public. Its contents, in the form of edicts containing false news.
"Ordered to carry out 2-wheeled vehicle convoy activities and distribute pamphlets or leaflets in the form of announcements and advice and appeals that allegedly contained false or uncertain news that caused chaos in the community and had the potential to treason," said Iqbal.
With the determination of this suspect, Ali Jamroni is charged with Article 14 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 55 and or 15 in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning the Criminal Law Regulations and or Article 107 in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
The leader of the Khilafatul Muslimin organization in the Cirebon area, West Java, Ali Zamroni, was arrested by the Brebes Police. He was arrested in connection with the development of the investigation into the organization's convoy case which was carried out some time ago.
In investigating the case of the Khilafatul Muslimin convoy in Brebes Regency, the police have arrested 3 people. They are GZ as the head of the branch of the Khilafatul Muslimin Jamaat and DS, and the US which is the head of the branch of the Khilafatul Muslimin Jamaat.
