Already One Of The Owners Of Liverpool, LeBron James Now Wants To Have His Own Basketball Team In Sin City

JAKARTA - Four-time NBA champion LeBron James is ready to make big bets in Las Vegas with ambitions to form a National Basketball Association club in the city nicknamed Sin City.

"I wanted to have a team," James said in a clip of his television show The Shop that aired on HBO.

The clip went viral on social media Thursday. "I wanted a team in Vegas," said James in an episode of the show that will air this Friday.

The 37-year-old basketball player is under contract with the Los Angeles Lakers until the 2022-2023 season and after that he is a free agent. Despite this he has dabbled in being a professional team owner.

In March 2021, the 18-time All-Star player became co-owner of Major League Baseball (MLB) Boston Red Sox after joining Fenway Sports Group (FSG) as a partner.

FSG is also the owner of the English Premier League football club Liverpool.
