Police Name 5 Suspects In Hit And Run Cases By South Jakarta Police
JAKARTA - The police have named five people as suspects in the hit-and-run case of members of the South Jakarta Metro Police. The South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto explained, four of them were women in the DKR beating case (16). And one man who hit a member of the South Jakarta Police Precision Team.
"4 suspects have been named as suspects in the case of beatings. Meanwhile, 1 suspect has resisted the officers." said Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Friday, June 10.
Budhi also said that of the four suspects in the beating, three of them were minors. Regarding the motives for the 4 women to carry out these acts of violence because of mutual jealousy, because of the struggle for men at the scene.
"Then there are 4 suspects that we can assign to the beating case, where in the investigation case we did, the motive for the beating was because of mutual jealousy, fighting over a man who was at the scene," explained Budhi.
Meanwhile, MAZ (initials) became a suspect for resisting police officers in the field.
Budhi said, the MAZ perpetrator was driving the car and hit a police officer, Bripka HY. As a result, Brigadier HY suffered a fractured bone and had to be operated on with a pen.
"MAZ is applied to Article 360 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with 212 of the Criminal Code regarding acts against officers who endanger life, the threat is 5 years in prison," said Budhi.
"Meanwhile, the 4 women who have the status of suspects were applied to the article regarding beatings," he concluded.
