Ship's Rope Detached While Looking For Fish, 2 Fishermen In Dadap Waters Drowned
CIREBON - The joint SAR team managed to find two fishermen from Indramayu Regency, West Java who drowned in Dadap Waters, dead.
"Today we found one victim dead. And another one was found on Thursday (9/6)," said Head of the Operations and Alert Section of the Bandung SAR Office, Supriono, quoted by Antara, Friday, June 10.
On Thursday (9/6), his party received a report of two fishermen from Indramayu Regency who had an accident while fishing.
Based on witness testimony on Thursday (9/6), at around 01.00 WIB, while looking for fish, the boat's rope suddenly detached and grabbed the victim on behalf of Trio (19) and was thrown into the waters.
Seeing the Trio thrown into the water, another victim on behalf of Tarno intends to help by jumping along. But unfortunately, because Tarno did not wear a life jacket, both of them drowned.
"At 06.28 WIB on Thursday (9/6) the victim on behalf of Tarno was found dead in the vicinity of the incident location, while the victim on behalf of Trio is still missing," he said.
Supriono said that after being temporarily suspended to search for victims on behalf of Trio, on Thursday (9/6) the joint SAR team carried out a search effort again on Friday by dividing the team into three Search and Rescue Units (SRU).
"At 10.34 WIB the joint SAR team found the victim on behalf of Triono (19) and the victim was immediately evacuated to the funeral home to be handed over to the victim's family," he said.
