Anies Hopes Jakarta Fair Becomes An Opportunity To Exchange Networks Between Participants
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan hopes that holding the largest and most comprehensive exhibition in Southeast Asia, the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran can be an opportunity for participants to exchange networks.
This was conveyed at the opening of the Jakarta Fair which was also attended by Chairman of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman, Deputy Chairman of the MPR Hidayat Nur Wahid (HNW), Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of PPP Arsul Sani and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria.
"We hope that through this opportunity there will be a process of exchanging experiences, exchanging networks. Expo activities like this are not only between visitors and 'stands' visited, but every 'stand' that has activities to learn from each other," said Anies in his opening remarks in Jakarta. According to Anies, the Jakarta Fair is a forum for business meetings of various sectors, so that they can share networks and support each other for the revival of the economy.
More than that, Anies also said that the Jakarta Fair, which is held for the 53rd time every year, is a memorable experience, especially for Jakarta residents who have visited this event since childhood.
"Many of us have been invited to the Jakarta Fair when we checked our childhood. Take the time to invite our family to come to the Jakarta Fair. We believe this will be a memorable experience," said Anies.
The Jakarta Fair will be held again from June 9-17 July 2022, after the event had to be on hiatus for the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government recorded the number of visitors to the Jakarta Fair in 2019 reached 6.8 million people with a total transaction of Rp. 7.5 trillion.
Anies hopes that the number of visitors and the total transactions at the Jakarta Fair this year can exceed the previous realization, so that the economy in Jakarta can revive after the pandemic.
"We hope that with the Jakarta Fair this year, the signs of economic revival will be more visible, how during the pandemic we work but the market is relatively limited," he said.
The Jakarta Fair was attended by 2,500 participating companies in 1,500 booths exhibiting products from various industrial sectors such as automotive cars and motorcycles, household appliances, furniture, electronic goods, culinary, creative industries, handicrafts, herbs and medicines. - medicine, banking, service products to cosmetics.
In addition, the Music Concert will also enliven the Jakarta Fair with a number of bands, such as Slank, Tulus, Godbless, Fortwnty, Type-X, Fiersa Besari, Maliq n D'Essentials to Pamungkas.
