4 Times Thinner Factory In Tangerang Burned Due To Employee Negligence
TANGERANG - The Thinner factory owned by PT Wana Prima in the Curug area, Tangerang Regency, which has been burned down, has experienced the same incident four times. This was conveyed by the Platoon Commander of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Tangerang Regency, Bob Sulaeman.
"It's true that this has happened four times, the first fire occurred in 2004. Then 2015, and again in 2021," said Bob, Thursday, June 9.
Bob said one of the four fire incidents was caused by employee negligence in packing thinner. In fact, every incident was always classified as big.
"So at that time the cause was employee negligence when packing thinner," he said.
Meanwhile, the South Tangerang Police Chief, AKBP Sarly Sollu asked PT Warna Prima to evaluate and improve the Company's Operating Standards (SOP). In order to prevent similar incidents from happening.
"So we ask this company to implement SOPs and even stricter security," said Sarly at the location.
Sarly said that there was an administrative sanction awaiting the company. However, it is currently being studied by the local government.
"I think it's administrative, yes, it's reviewed from the local government," he concluded.
