Knowing Eril's Body Was Found, Indonesian Politicians Crowded Praying

JAKARTA - The body of the son of West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz alias Eril has been found in Bern, Switzerland. Prayers poured in for Kang Emil's family on social media.

One of them came from the spokesman for the Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Dahnil A Simanjuntak. The former General Chairperson of the Muhammadiyah Youth Center hopes that Eril will be accepted by God Almighty.

"God willing, sister Eril Husnul Khotimah. Kang @ridwankamil," said Dahnil on his Twitter account, @Dahnilanzar, Thursday 9 July.

A prayer was also offered by the former Minister of Youth and Sports Roy Suyo. Initially Roy, who claimed to be grieving the loss of Ridwan Kamil's first son, was grateful that Eril's body had been found.

"Innalillahi wa innailaihi rojiun for the death of Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz on the Bern River, Switzerland, a few days ago. Thank God his body was found damn, God willing, it will be returned to Indonesia next Sunday," said Roy on his Twitter account, @KRMTRoySuryo2

The telematics expert then hoped that the family would be relieved to face grief. "Hopefully Ridwan Kamil's family can endure it. Amen," continued Roy.

The Secretary General of PAN Eddy Soeparno also made a similar statement. Edy prays that Eril will get the reward of a martyr by having all his sins forgiven, intentionally or unintentionally.

"Allahu Akbar! Allahummaghfirlahu Warhamhu Wa'afihi Wa'fuanhu. May Allah reward the martyrdom of Eril's son," said Edy on his Twitter account, @eddy_soeparno.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Riza Patria also did not want to miss praying for Eril who went first to God's lap.

To the community, Riza also asked to pray for Ridwan Kamil's family to be strong in facing the fog of grief since Eril's departure.

"Heaven for Eril. Let's pray, may the big family of Kang @ridwankamil be patient, amen. As stated by Kang RK "Eril, you intend to go to seek knowledge and lessons, in the end, you are the one who gives knowledge and lessons to all of us," Riza tweeted through his Twitter account, @ArizaPatria.

Eril, who had an incident in the Aere area, was declared missing on 26 May. He is the child of Ridwan Kamil and his wife, Atalia Praratya.

Swiss police and authorities found Eril's body at the Engehalde Dam, Bern on Wednesday 8 June 2022 morning local time. The Indonesian Ambassador to Switzerland, Muliaman D Hadad, stated that currently Eril's body has been taken by the family.

"The court has authorized the family who are currently in Bern to receive Eril's ananda's body," Muliaman said during an online press conference with Eril's uncle, Elpi Nazmuzaman, Thursday 9 June.

Eril's body was taken by the family after the Swiss police and authorities carried out identification and DNA tracing.
