Police Examine The SAM Air Plane Shooting Scene By KKB At Kenyam Nduga Airport, Papua
JAYAPURA - The Investigation Unit Team of the Gakkum Ops Damai Cartenz Task Force together with the Nduga Police, Papua, conducted an investigation at the scene (TKP) of the shooting of the SAM Air plane at Kenyam Airport. The plane was previously fired upon by KKB when it landed.
The Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad M. Kamal, said that the crime scene was carried out to determine the type of firearm and details of the damage to the SAM Air aircraft.
The TKP will take place from 07.50 WIT to 10.00 WIT and will continue on Friday (10/6).
A SAM Air airplane with flight code PK SMG, at around 10.15 WIT Tuesday (7/6), was shot by an armed criminal group (KKB) while at Kenyam Airport.
Airplanes arriving from Wamena carrying basic necessities were fired upon from the direction of Alguru or Kali Kenyam so that all flight crews escaped.
The bullets that flew hit several parts of the plane, including the front tires, fuel tanks, and two points on the fuselage.
"The pilot of the airplane, M Farhan Fachri, was reported to have suffered abrasions from falling while escaping, while the co-pilot, Reza A Ragainaga, was not injured," said Kamal.
