Ridwan Kamil Explores A Small Alley Until The Bridge Collapses Then Promises: This Place For Elementary School Children To Go To School Will Be Built ASAP

JAKARTA - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil promised to immediately build a collapsed bridge that was hit by the overflowing Ciwidey River in Tenjolaya Village, Pasirjambu District, Bandung Regency.

This was conveyed by Ridwan Kamil when he visited the location of the collapsed bridge on Wednesday, June 8 yesterday. Atalia Praratya's husband shared the moment in the form of a video on his Twitter account, @ridwankamil.

In the video, Ridwan Kamil is seen walking down a narrow alley until he arrives at the location of the collapsed bridge.

The man who is familiarly called Kang Emil said, "Insha Allah we will wake up again later."

Ridwan Kamil also seemed to be monitoring the conditions around the bridge, discussing with the Deputy Regent of Bandung Regency Sahrul Gunawan and related stakeholders, and greeting the surrounding community.

Ridwan Kamil said the bridge where elementary school children go to school will soon be rebuilt after the retaining wall is repaired.

"In the short term, we have coordinated with BBWS, Mr. Kades as well. We will cover the cliffs that are damaged because they have the potential to endanger residents, we will temporarily close them with ronjong and then we will make them permanent," he said.

"Only the next stage will the bridge be rebuilt," continued Ridwan Kamil.

Ridwan Kamil apologized to the residents, especially the children who used the bridge to go to school and had to make a detour to their destination.

"But wait for the time, the state will improve its traffic lanes," he promised.

As for residents on the banks of the Ciwidey River, Ridwan Kamil asked to always be vigilant. Especially when it rains with high intensity flushing the area.

"We have provided assistance to several houses earlier, and remain vigilant," he concluded.
