Before The Police Arrested The Leaders, Khilafatul Muslimin Wanted To Declare Himself At The Kaujon Mosque, Banten, Was Immediately Rejected!
BANTEN - Chairman of the Coordination Forum for the Prevention of Terrorism (FKPT), Amas Tajudin admitted that the leader of Khilafatul Muslimin before being arrested by the police some time ago wanted to declare himself at a mosque in the area around Kaujon, Banten.
In fact, he had approached the mosque management. "But the mosque management did not allow it," said Amas when confirmed, Thursday, June 9.
The permission for the declaration was not granted because it was considered that the group tends to replace the state ideology.
"The group is closer to upholding a state ideological belief that they want to change from the Pancasila ideology to another belief ideology," he said.
When asked earlier whether there had been a spread in the Banten area, the man who served as Secretary of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) was reluctant to speculate. The thing is, he has known that there are Banten residents who are intimidated by joining the group.
"Regarding the number of people, we still need information that we need to prepare first. (For) the number and our names have actually been obtained, but not for us to publish," he added.
Previously, the Khilafatul Muslimin was in the spotlight following the action of a convoy carrying the theme "Awakening the Caliphate" in the Cawang area, East Jakarta on Sunday morning 29 May 2022.
In addition to a large flag with Arabic writing, dozens of motorbikes also carried posters with various writings. On average, these posters carry messages about the caliphate, among others
"Be a Pioneer in Enforcing the Khilafah 'Ala Minjahin Nubuwwah", "Welcoming the Awakening of the Islamic Caliphate", and "The Khilafah is Worship of the Khilafah That Belongs to the Muslims".
