Madiun Police Investigate Fraud Case Under The Guise Of Arisan Motor, Victim Of Loss Of IDR 200 Million

MADIUN - The Madiun Resort Police received a complaint of a fraudulent case using a motorized social gathering mode in the Madiun Regency, East Java, which cost the victims hundreds of millions of rupiah.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Madiun Police, AKP Ryan Wira Raja Pratama, said that the complaint was made by six people from representatives of about 28 people who took part in the motorized gathering.

"The estimated loss from the alleged fraud case under the guise of motor vehicle social gathering is more than Rp. 200 million," said AKP Ryan, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 8.

According to data from the reporter, the motor vehicle social gathering is owned by Djumadi, a resident of Bagi Village, Madiun District, Madiun Regency under the name Adi Mitra Sejati motorcycle social gathering.

Each participant had previously paid a variety of around Rp. 5 million to Rp. 9 million. The arisan should have been completed in 2018, but until now there is no news of its continuation.

"On this complaint, we will conduct further investigations by examining a number of related witnesses," he said.

AKP Ryan asked the residents of Madiun Regency to be careful and selective when participating in social gathering or investment activities. Residents are asked to see whether the social gathering can be accounted for or suspicious.

"The public must be selective and more careful. If it is suspicious, it is better not to come and stay away," he said.

Now the Madiun Police Criminal Investigation Unit officers are still investigating the case further by collecting evidence and looking for the reported party to be examined.
