Bareskrim Seizes Assets Of 2 Suspects Of Corruption In Cengkareng Zaman Ahok Flats Worth IDR 700 Billion
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police confiscated a number of assets in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of land designated for flats (rusun) in Cengkareng, West Jakarta. The nominal value of the confiscated assets reached Rp700 billion.
"We can relate the crime of money laundering. Then, we have recovered around Rp700 billion in assets," said the Director of Corruption Crimes at the Indonesian National Police, Brigadier General Cahyono Wibowo, to reporters, Wednesday, June 8.
This land acquisition corruption case occurred during the leadership of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok as Governor. At that time, Ahok assessed that there were irregularities in the purchase of land by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Housing and Building Office worth Rp. 668 billion.
In this case, the Criminal Investigation Department has named two suspects. The two are the former Head of the Housing and Settlement Development Division of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Housing and Building Office, Sukmana and a private party named Rudy Hartono Iskandar.
Of the total assets of Rp 700,970,000,000, investigators confiscated cash and land and buildings.
Cahyono detailed the assets, including cash in the amount of IDR 1.7 billion, then land and buildings in the TB SImatupang area of East Cilandak for IDR 371.4 billion, a plot of land in the West Cilandak area worth IDR 100.3 billion, and land and building assets in Palmerah. worth IDR 2.7 billion.
Then, there were also assets that were confiscated based on the results of the money laundering investigation, including land and buildings in West Cilandak for Rp. 166.2 billion, a plot of land and buildings in Kuta and Denpasar, Bali for Rp. 57.3 billion.
There was also the confiscation of shares of Pondok Indah Golf which were confiscated from the suspect worth IDR 1.2 billion.
"The acquired assets were carried out after the corruption crime related to land acquisition in Cengkareng. Then we confiscated them at this time of course there was an assessment of the increase in assets," said Cahyono.
