JAKARTA - The West Jakarta Metro Police Special Criminal Investigation Unit arrested six suspects in the fictitious investment case of injecting medical equipment with a total loss of Rp. 65 billion rupiah, Wednesday, June 8. The six suspects have different roles.
West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pasma Royce explained, the six suspects collectively collected public funds with a fraudulent mode in the form of investment in a medical equipment procurement project from BNPB.
"In fact, the project is fictitious and is not registered as a distributor of medical devices from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia," said Kombes Pasma to reporters, Wednesday, June 8.
According to pasma, the female suspect with the initials RE (41) plays the role of Director of PT RBS acting as investment manager. RE in cooperation with AS (31) as the Director of PT SM acts as the investment manager or the place where the flow of money ends.
Meanwhile, SK (43) as the Commissioner of PT RBS helped manage the investment of the suspect RE.
"These three actors are sisters of RE, AS and SK as managers of fictitious investments in medical equipment capital injections," he said.
For the smooth operation of the fictitious investment, they were assisted by 3 other suspects. Suspect YF (37) a woman is known to be a recruiter of the victims (marketing), a male suspect with the initials YD (41) acts as a recruiter for victims (marketing), and suspect NH (33) a woman acts as an admin or capital holder for the victims.

The funds raised are used for the project and will benefit directly.
On September 28, 2021, the suspect with the initials REP told YF that there was a (fictional) procurement at BNPB. YF then conveyed to the victims regarding the procurement of these medical supplies.
"The suspect AS and RE agreed on profit. So from brother AS and RE there was a 20 percent profit, then it was handed over to YF's brother, this was cut by 1 percent and 19 percent of the profit was received," said Kombes Pasma.
Suspect YF took 2 to 9 percent profit, while 10 percent was handed over to the victim.
"Initially in September 2021, it was still running until December 2021. Every month the profit was 10 percent for the victims," he said.
