Queen Elizabeth II's Blessing For Prince Harry And Meghan To Leave The Kingdom

JAKARTA - Queen Elizabeth II gave her blessing regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to leave the royal family and become financially independent.

Reporting from The Guardian, Wednesday January 15, after the meeting in Sandringham, Harry and Meghan's next steps are not yet known. But Queen Elizabeth warned, even though the couple left the royal family, they must remember that Harry and Meghan are still part of the Queen's family.

“My family and I fully support Harry and Meghan's desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we prefer them to remain members of the royal family working full time, we respect and understand their desire to live a more independent life as a family, they remain a valuable part of my family, "said Queen Elizabeth II, via a release.

The statement made by the Queen was an unusual thing. The Queen now no longer calls them both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but instead mentions their first names, Harry and Meghan. This raises the question of whether the kingdom will retain their title in the future.

The meeting, held on Monday January 13, is the first time since Harry and Meghan have stepped down from the royal family. Meghan joined the meeting via a conference call from Canada.

"This is a complex issue that my family has to solve and there are some things to do, but I have asked for a final decision to be reached in the coming days," Ratu added.

Apart from wanting to be financially independent, Harry and Meghan also want to continue their charity work. The Palace was disappointed at the couple's announcement. This is because the announcement was made without consulting anyone, either the Queen, Prince Charles or Prince William.
