Have Not Reported Assets, Get Ready Prosecutor Will Not Be Promoted
JAKARTA - Junior Attorney General for Supervision of the Attorney General's Office, Amir Yanto, said that the Attorney General's Office will not raise the rank of prosecutors who have not reported the State Officials Wealth Report (LHKPN) to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"There will be sanctions later if there is a prosecutor who does not report the LHKPN, the condition for promotion of a prosecutor must report his assets. So all prosecutors without exception must report their assets to the KPK," said Amir Yanto in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, October 22nd.
Amir Yanto said that until now there are still prosecutors who have not reported their LHKPN assets to the KPK, even though his party has always appealed to all Heads of High Prosecutors throughout Indonesia to encourage their prosecutors to report their assets regularly to the KPK.
According to him, currently, the data on the percentage of prosecutors who have not reported their assets is only about 10 percent of all prosecutors in Indonesia. Meanwhile, around 90 percent of prosecutors have reported their assets to the KPK.
"If I see, the level of compliance to report assets is already 90 percent. Ten percent is still not (obedient). I also ask all inspectors to check who prosecutors have not reported (LHKPN)," said Amir.
