72,737 Palangka Raya Residents Have Been Vaccinated Against COVID-19 Boosters
PALANGKA RAYA - A total of 17,737 residents of Palangka Raya have been injected with a booster vaccine. That means 32.56 percent of the total vaccination target in the area as many as 233,417 people
"As of last Sunday (June 5), the achievement of the third dose of our mutual cooperation program and vaccination program reached 72,737 people," said Palangka Raya Mayor Fairid Naparin on Tuesday, June 7.
Then, he continued, for the achievement of the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination, 261,743 people or 117.15 percent of the target were recorded. Then, the achievement of the second dose of vaccination in Palangka Raya reached 225,965 people or 101.14 percent.
Meanwhile, based on the Antara report, the COVID-19 vaccination target in "City of Beauty" is 223,417 people.
The targets are divided into five categories, namely health human resources with a target of 3,512 targets, 14,287 elderly targets, 21,920 public services targets, 154,647 targets for the general public, and 29,051 youth targets.
Vaccination targets in Palangka Raya were also extended to children aged 6-11 years. Fairid, who is also the Head of the Palangka Raya COVID-19 Task Force, invites the public to always implement health protocols, so as to prevent the spread of the corona virus.
The man, who is also a road race racer, said vaccination was a way to protect the public from exposure and risk of contracting COVID-19.

Meanwhile, based on data from the same period, the Palangka Raya City COVID-19 Handling Task Force noted that only five people were still positive for the virus.
Then, there were also recorded a total of 17,762 positive cases of COVID-19 in the local area, of which 17,207 have been declared cured and 550 other corona patients have died.
