7 Months Pregnant Mother Killed In Bandung, Police Chase The Suspected Offender To Central Java
JAKARTA - The Bandung Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) conducted a chase to Central Java (Central Java) against the suspected perpetrator of the murder of a pregnant woman with the initials NY (34) in Sadu Village, Soreang District, Bandung Regency.
"We are currently pursuing the perpetrator to the Central Java region," said Bandung Police Chief Kombes Hendra Kurniawan in Bandung, as reported by Antara, Thursday, October 22.
The incident was known to have occurred on Saturday, 17 October 2020 at 18.00 WIB, at the victim's rented room. The police suspect that the pregnant woman with a gestation period of 7 months is the victim of murder. This is because a number of cuts and bruises were found on the victim's body.
The house guard and other residents immediately reported the findings to the police. Then the police, too, went straight to the scene, after receiving this information.
Based on witness testimony, said Hendra, it was discovered that on Friday, October 16 2020, the victim was last seen in the afternoon in his rented room watching television.
Meanwhile, Kasatreskrim Polresta Bandung AKP Bimantoro Kurniawan said the victim was immediately evacuated by the Inafis team to Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Bandung City for an autopsy.
"The victim sustained injuries to his face, allegedly due to sharp objects, and it is known that the victim is 7 months pregnant," said Bimantoro.
From the scene of the incident, he said the police had secured evidence in the form of sharp objects (cutters), as well as other objects such as glasses and ashtrays that would support the investigation process.
