Brian May And Roger Taylor Leak Concept Of Queen's New Song With Freddie Mercury's Voice

JAKARTA - The band Queen will release a new song with their vocalist, the late Freddie Mercury. This was confirmed by guitarists Brian May and Roger Taylor in a recent interview.

They claimed to have found one song that had never been heard or released to the public. This song was recorded before Freddie Mercury died of AIDS in 1991.

“We found a treasure from Freddie that we had forgotten. And this is beautiful. Actually, it's a real discovery," Roger Taylor said on BBC Radio 2 on Tuesday, 7 June.

They decided to release it for fans. Reportedly the new song will be released this year.

"It's from the recording sessions for The Miracle and I think the song will be out in September," Taylor continued.

“(The song) is hidden. We saw him a few times and thought “Oh we can't save him” Brian May said when we heard the recording.

After talking to the music arranger, they tried to improve the record.

“We tried (listening) again and our team said 'We can do this and this' so it's like sewing some parts together but the song is beautiful. It's very touching," said May.

The Miracle album in question is Queen's 13th album which was released in 1989. Several songs such as The Miracle, I Want It All, and Breakthru became hit singles.

Freddie Mercury's voice was last heard on Queen's final album, Made in Heaven, which was released in 1995.

Previously, Queen had released an album with the voice of Freddie Mercury through the compilation album Queen Forever. This album features three unreleased songs, namely Let Me in Your Heart Again, Love Kills, and There Must Be More to Life Than This with Michael Jackson.
