The Fraud Case Of 39 People At KSU Rinjani Enters The Investigation Stage, The NTB Police Will Hold A Case To Determine The Role Of The Suspect

MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara Police are handling cases of alleged criminal acts of fraud and embezzlement by the management of the Rinjani Multipurpose Cooperative (KSU).

Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) of the NTB Polda Kombes Hari Brata said the report came from a complaint from one of the KSU Rinjani groups who are domiciled on Sumbawa Island.

"From the reports that we have handled, now this case has entered the investigation stage," said Hari in Mataram, Antara, Monday, June 6.

At this stage, investigators have not revealed the role of the suspect. However, said Hari, those responsible for the case were threatened with Article 372 of the Criminal Code on embezzlement and Article 378 of the Criminal Code on fraud.

"So, in the near future we will hold a case to determine the role of the suspect," he said. Investigators have pocketed elements of unlawful acts according to the report.

"So, what is the modus operandi until the indications of a crime appear. We will inform you after the title," he said.

There are 39 whistleblowers who feel they are victims of fraud and embezzlement. They are members of a group from Sumbawa Island registered at KSU Rinjani.

They felt cheated by the promise of the management of KSU Rinjani regarding the assistance of 3 cows for Rp. 100 million.

The management of KSU Rinjani promised the assistance by selling the government's program in the distribution of National Economic Recovery (PEN) funds.

However, the NTB Provincial Government has provided clarification regarding the promise of KSU Rinjani to its members.

The provincial government said that the assistance of three cows worth Rp. 100 million as stated by the management of KSU Rinjani was not included in the PEN fund distribution program.

The matter, he said, has entered the realm of criminality. The head of KSU Rinjani Sri Sudarjo is undergoing a legal process at the Mataram District Court regarding the spread of fake news (hoaks) through social media regarding the distribution of PEN funds in the form of 3 cows worth Rp. 100 million to members of KSU Rinjani.
