Langkat Regent's Off Bribery Publishes Plan To Warn The Winds Demanded 2.5 Years In Prison

JAKARTA - The defendant for bribing the inactive Regent of Langkat Publishing the Warring Angin Plan, namely the Director of CV Nizhami Muara Warin Angin, was sentenced to 2 years 6 months or 2.5 years in prison by the KPK public prosecutor.

"The sentence (against the defendant Muara Warin Angin) in the form of a prison sentence of 2 years and 6 months and a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to imprisonment for 4 months," said KPK prosecutor Zainal Abidin at the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor), as reported by Antara, Monday. , June 6th.

Muara was charged with this sentence by the KPK prosecutor because he was deemed proven guilty of bribery worth Rp. 572 million to work on 11 work packages for the procurement of goods and services at the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office and the Langkat Regency Education Office, North Sumatra, in 2021.

According to the KPK prosecutor, the sentence was given because Muara was proven to have violated Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001.

Based on these demands, the panel of judges gave the defendant and his legal team an opportunity to present their defense next week, Monday (13/6).

Regarding the corruption case in Langkat Regency, according to the indictment, according to the KPK prosecutors, bribes were given so that a number of companies owned by Muara won the tender for the project for the procurement of goods and services in Langkat Regency.

In the reading of the indictment at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Wednesday (6/4), Zainal explained that the bribe money from Muara to Terbit went through a number of parties.

They are To Balai Kasih Village, Kuala Subdistrict, Langkat Regency Iskandar Warin Angin, who is also Terbit's older brother; contractor Marcos Surya Abdi; contractor Shuhanda Citra; and contractor Isfi Syahfitra.

On January 18, 2022, Muara handed over Rp572 million wrapped in black plastic to Isfi.

On the same day, Isfi and Shuanda handed over the money to Marcos to issue via Iskandar. At that time they were detained by KPK officers along with evidence of money.
