Honorary Employees Excluded Next Year, Palembang City Government Suggests To Be Resigned As PPPK
PALEMBANG - All honorary staff in central and regional government agencies will be removed from office in November 2023. The Palembang City Government has promised to fight for the fate of its honorary employees. Palembang City Regional Secretary Ratu Dewa admitted that the City Government will soon go to Jakarta to hold a meeting with the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB).
At the meeting, they discussed everything in order to fight for the fate of the honorary employees of the Palembang City Government, which numbered thousands of people.
"We will ask the PANRB minister for a consideration, by sending an official letter beforehand," he said after leading a joint rally at Fort Kuto Besak Palembang, South Sumatra, quoted from Antara, Monday, June 6.
According to him, as a recommendation offered by the City Government, he hopes that the central government will provide certainty by prioritizing all honorary employees to be recruited as Government Employees with an Employment Agreement (PPPK).
Because the presence of honorary employees in the Palembang City Government is very much needed. In fact, he said, this honorary performance is considered to be the spearhead in carrying out government functions.
"Not only education and health personnel are the priority proposals, but we also propose from other formations, so that they can be recruited into PPPK," he added.
He mentioned that the proposal had also been discussed at the All-Indonesian Regional Secretary Forum (Forsesdasi), which had to be completed by the deadline of November 28, 2023.
"The recruitment of all honorary staff to be tied up in the PPPK is also directly supported by the Mayor of Palembang. They must take a series of tests at the PPPK later with the number of Non-PNSD 5,400," he said.
