Will Be Summoned, Suspect Of Alleged Church Corruption In Mimika Asked For Cooperative KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) asked the suspect in the alleged corruption of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church in Mimika, Papua to cooperate when called by investigators. They were asked to attend the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"KPK hopes that these parties will cooperate and attend according to schedule," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Ali Fikri told reporters, Monday, June 6.

Ali said the suspects would be summoned on Tuesday, June 7 and Friday, June 10. "The investigation team has scheduled the summoning of two people as suspects," he said.

Even so, Ali has not detailed who the party named as the suspect is. However, their presence is important to complete the dossier of the alleged hooligan case.

There is some evidence that will later be confirmed against the suspects. Thus, they were asked to cooperate in attending.

"This summons and examination are needed to confirm some of the evidence that has been collected by the investigative team," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK agreed that it was investigating the alleged corruption in the construction of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church Phase 1 for the 2015 Fiscal Year in Mimika Regency, Papua. However, they have not fully informed the construction of the case and who were named as suspects.

Details regarding the suspects to the construction of the case will be carried out when forced efforts are made to either arrest or detain the suspects.

In the investigation process, the KPK has summoned several witnesses, such as from elements of the Mimika Regency DPRD for the 2014-2019 period to other private parties.

From this examination, the KPK has explored the process of discussing the budget at the Mimika Regency DPRD Budget Agency regarding the Kingmi Mile 32 Church construction project Phase 1 for the 2015 Fiscal Year and the process of implementing the tender to construction.
