Silencing Singaporean League 1 Club, Persib Bandung Players Use Black Ribbons During Matches For Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz
JAKARTA - Persib Bandung played a friendly match against Singaporean League 1 club, Tanjong Pagar, at the Citra Mas Stadium, Batam, Sunday, June 5. All Persib players and staff appear to be wearing black bands on their arms.
The black ribbon is a reflection of the deep condolences of the Persib players over the incident that befell Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz. As is known, the eldest son of Governor Ridwan Kamil was lost in the current of the Aare River, Switzerland, 26 May.
Apart from wearing a black ribbon, a moment of silence was also held before the match started. This is a form of condolence as well as respect for Eril, who is also a person, according to the official Persib website.
Meanwhile, Persib managed to win a big victory over Tanjong Pagar. Robert Alberts' men won with a score of 6-1!
Ezra Walian and David Da Silva each scored two goals in this match. While the other two goals were scored by Ciro Alves and Febri Hariyadi.
"We are still developing, continuing to process. Until now, we are on the right track. If you say you are satisfied, you still want more," said Persib assistant coach, Yaya Sunarya, as reported by Antara.
"As I said earlier, the results are not what we see but the process so that the game can develop," he continued.
Meanwhile, Tanjong Pagar's coach, Noh Alam Shah, admits that Persib's quality far exceeds his team's. This will be used as evaluation material for the Singapore club.
"This is an introspection for the Tanjong Pagar team who will undergo the league. Every time we get a good opponent at Persib Bandun's level, it is a bonus for us," he said.
