DIY Police Make Sure Two Of Its Members Have An Ethics Trial Regarding The Persecution In Sleman
JAKARTA - The Yogyakarta Special Region Police are processing the law on two of its members, AR and LV, who are suspected of being involved in the assault case against a man named Bryan Yoga Kusuma at Cafe Holywings Jogja on Jalan Magelang km 5.8, Sleman Regency, Saturday, June 4.
The Head of Public Relations of the Yogyakarta Regional Police, Police Commissioner Yuliyanto, in Yogyakarta, Sunday, June 5, said that two members with the initials AR and LV work daily at the Sleman Police Satreskrim.
"The Head of the DIY Regional Police has ordered the head of the Propam Division to process the law according to his mistakes to members who violate," he said.
He said that in the near future the two members suspected of being involved would undergo a trial for violating the Police's Code of Professional Ethics.
"It was temporarily concluded that there were violations committed by two members," he said.
According to him, the Yogyakarta Regional Police's Internal Security Sub-Directorate will examine 17 witnesses who are suspected of having knowledge of the incident that occurred on Saturday morning (4 June).
He said the 17 witnesses consisted of four civilians and 13 police officers.
"These 13 members of the National Police are personnel who were on picket duty (at the office) that day," he said.
After examining the witnesses, he said, the police will conduct a title to the case.
Previously, the Sleman Police Chief, AKBP Achmad Imam Rifai, said, based on the statements of two witnesses, the case that occurred on Saturday, June 4, at 01.30 WIB was triggered by an argument between Kusuma and visitors to Cafe Holywings Jogja, which led to a fight.
Knowing the incident, he said, the cafe security officer then took Kusuma to the Sleman Police. He was then taken to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sleman Police along with the witness.
"When secured the victim fled towards the exit of the Sleman Police and was hit by a passing car," said Rifai.
He also said that the Propam Polda DIY had investigated the alleged beating of the victim by the police.
Meanwhile, based on the Kusuma family's version of the statement, it was stated that at around 02.00 WIB on Saturday, he was provoked by someone named Carmel, and it ended in a fight in front of the Holywings parking lot.
"At that time, Carmel called a friend named Leo who then gathered all security, thugs, parking attendants, provost and PM to provoke Kusuma," said the family representative, Anung Prajotho, in a written statement on Saturday, June 4.
During the fight, he said, Kusuma was beaten for about an hour by about 20 people, and there were also police officers.
After the situation was somewhat conducive, he said, Kusuma and his friend, Albert, were given the option of a middle way to resolve the issue with Carmel and Leo at the Sleman Police.
"While at the Resort Police, Bryan and Albert continued to be tortured and beaten. At that time, Albert asked for help from other police officers who were at the Resort Police, but they only saw him, and they did not provide any help. At that time, Albert's and Bryan's cell phones were also identified. confiscated by the police," said Prajotho.
