After Sending Husbands To Work, Woman Motorcycle Riders Are Robbed Of Armed Robbers In Duren Sawit, Viral On Social Media
JAKARTA - The Duren Sawit Police Criminal Investigation Unit is still investigating the case of a woman motorcyclist who became a victim of robbery on Jalan Nusa Indah 3, Malaka Jaya Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta. The robbery took place on Friday, June 3. The robbery was caught on CCTV camera and went viral on social media.
"We have checked the crime scene (TKP). It is still being investigated," said Duren Sawit Police Chief Kompol Martson Marbun when confirmed, Sunday, June 5.
From the CCTV camera footage, the incident can be seen when the victim was driving a motorbike across Jalan Nusa Indah 3. It turned out that the motorbike the victim was riding was being followed from behind by a gang of robbers.
Then the victim's motorbike was intercepted from the side by one of the perpetrators' motorbikes. One of the perpetrators who was picked up then got off the motorbike and pushed the victim and the motorbike until they fell.
Furthermore, the perpetrator immediately forcibly seized the victim's automatic motorbike and took it away.
The head of RT 08/04, Kelurahan Malaka Jaya, Jainal Abidin admitted that a resident with the initials ON became a victim of robbery. The incident occurred around 4:53 a.m. WIB. The perpetrators were equipped with sharp weapons in their actions to threaten the victims.
"They were robbed by two people with sharp weapons, then the victim's motorbike was seized by force," he said.
The robbery took place after the victim took her husband to Klender Baru Station. Then, when he returned to his residence in the RT 08/04 area, Malaka Jaya, the victim, who was about 40 years old, was intercepted by two perpetrators.
Jainal suspected that the victim had been targeted as a target for the perpetrator's robbery while on his way.
"It seems that he has been followed, so it was time to take his husband to Pondok Kopi Station (Klender Baru) and from there he followed. Arriving around SDN Malaka Jaya 10, he was just robbed," he said.
At the time of the incident, there were residents who saw the robbery act. However, said Jainal, they did not dare because the perpetrator carried a sharp knife to threaten the victim.
"If you say it's quiet or not, it's crowded. But people don't dare because the perpetrators carry sharp weapons," he said.
After the incident, the victim has reported to the Duren Sawit Police. "The victim has reported to the Duren Sawit Police. For the victim, only his leg was slightly injured due to the arrival of the motorbike," he concluded.
