Demonstration Against Yesterday's Job Creation Law Ends Peace, Police: Thanks To Evaluation
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya revealed the changing pattern of the rioters when mingling with the demonstrators against the Omnibus Law on Cipta Kerja.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus said that at the beginning of the demonstration on October 8, rioters from the anarcho group and students of the Mechanical Engineering School (STM) had infiltrated by being present since the morning.
"Earlier in the morning they had arrived (mingled)," Yusri told reporters, Wednesday, October 21.
However, with enforcement such as raids that caught thousands of people suspected of being rioters, they changed the pattern. Until the October 13 demonstration, they began to come to mingle with the protesters in the late afternoon.
"Now he (the rioters) changed it again, just arrived in the afternoon. Finally he joined together at the gathering point," said Yusri.
Despite this change in pattern, Yusri said that his party had taken anticipatory steps. Evidently, on October 20 the demonstration did not lead to chaos although there was still a little friction.
"So we learn, analyze, evaluate how to deal with them all. Alhamdulillah, yesterday (the demonstration) ran safely even though there were ripples, but we quickly took humanist actions we could secure them all," he said.
The demonstration against the Job Creation Law which took place on Tuesday, October 20 involved students and workers. The demonstration times went safely.
Although, around 33 people were arrested because they were suspected of causing trouble during the demonstration. At that time, some of the people who had been secured were already sent home after being recorded and guided.
