Former Walkot Haryadi Suyuti Allegedly Received Money From Various IMB Issuances In Yogyakarta
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that former Yogyakarta Mayor Haryadi Suyuti received money from various parties who applied for the issuance of building permits (IMB).
This allegation emerged after Haryadi was named a suspect after he was caught in a red-handed operation (OTT) on Thursday, June 2 yesterday. He is suspected of receiving bribes related to the issuance of the Royal Kedathon Apartment IMB in the Malioboro area, Yogyakarta.
"HS is also suspected of receiving a sum of money from several other IMB permits," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, June 3.
Even so, Alexander has not detailed which development projects the permits were granted after Haryadi got the facilitation. Investigators are still investigating further.
"The investigation team is investigating it," he said.
Alexander explained that the arrest, which began with a silent operation, had just been carried out. The reason is that they only received evidence even though there had been reports from the public regarding the alleged bribery.
"Yes, right, we just got the evidence now," he said.
"When it comes to information reports from the public, I think it's been a long time since we've heard of problematic licensing processes in Jogja," added Alexander.
The KPK, he continued, would monitor the licensing process at the KPK after this incident. Moreover, Yogyakarta is a tourist city that is booming in the construction of hotels and apartments.
Not until there, the KPK will check the permits along Jalan Malioboro. Moreover, Hariyadi became a suspect because he received a facilitation regarding development permits in the area.
"We'll check later, along the Malioboro area, right, it's a cultural heritage area, where there are restrictions related to the height, as well as the angle of inclination of the road section," explained Alexander.
As previously reported, the KPK appointed Hariyadi and two of his subordinates, namely the Head of the Yogyakarta City Government Investment Service and PTSP, Nurwidhihartana, and Hariyadi's personal secretary and aide, Triyanto Budi Yuwono.
As a result of their actions, they are suspected of violating Article 12 letter a or Article 12 letter b or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts Corruption Jo Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.
Meanwhile, as the giver, Oon Nusihono is suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.
