At Ekayana Arama Vihara, Army Chief Of Staff Dudung Says Pancasila Protects Indonesia's Integrity
JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Dudung Abdurachman said the unity of the Indonesian nation will not be divided if it continues to adhere to Pancasila as the state ideology.
"The Indonesian nation has always shown the strength of unity and integrity when facing external threats, but also must have the strength to face internal threats," said Dudung, Friday, June 3.
Since ancient times, the ancestors of the Indonesian nation have upheld tolerance in the diversity of cultures, religions, and customs; so that it can maintain the unity and integrity of Indonesia.
This was conveyed by Dudung when he visited the Ekayana Arama Vihara in West Jakarta, Thursday (2/6), to establish friendships with interfaith leaders considering that he as Kasad came from the people, by the people, and for the benefit of the people.
"I want input from Vihara Ekayana Arama to anticipate the threat of division. The state was created because of differences, the state was formed because of togetherness, unity, and unity. Mutual cooperation and togetherness are our nation's culture, so Pancasila was born from here," he explained, quoted from Antara. .
Dudung also hopes that the Indonesian Army and Vihara Ekayana Arama can synergize in countering various forms of threats that can cause division.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Ekayana Arama Monastery, Bhiksu Aryamaitri Mahastavhira, welcomed Dudung's visit positively.
"We Buddhists are determined to maintain the ideology of Pancasila and the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," said Bhiksu Aryamaitri Mahasthavira.
