Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Asks Residents Of Social Assistance Recipients In Surabaya To Develop Business

SURABAYA - Vice President (Wapres) Ma'ruf Amin distributed social assistance (bansos) to Elderly Beneficiaries (PM) in the City of Heroes. The distribution of the aid took place at the Balai Pemuda Building on the west side of Surabaya Square.

In his speech, Ma'ruf Amin said that there were a number of types of assistance that he distributed this time. Among them, the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Assistance (ATENSI), the Family Hope Program (PKH), scholarships to the santripreneur program from the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS).

"We hope that this government assistance can ease the burden on the community and can also advance their business. Hopefully with such assistance from the government, there can be efforts to empower the community," said Ma'ruf Amin.

Meanwhile, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini explained that a number of social assistance provided by the Vice President ranged from BLT cooking oil, educational scholarships to business capital for Low-Income Communities (MBR).

"There is a handover of business capital assistance for MBR residents. So, they are expected to receive social assistance, but they also have a business," said Risma.

In addition to business capital assistance, said Social Minister Risma, on this occasion the Vice President also distributed ATENSI assistance for people with disabilities. ATENSI assistance is intended for wives and children with disabilities in order to help their family's economy.

"We are trying to empower his wife, we are providing capital assistance for a grocery store business for his wife," he said.

Not only that, the Minister of Social Affairs also mentioned that other assistance given by the Vice President this time was in the form of a program for students and female students from BAZNAS. Also, a number of assistance programs from BPJS Employment and scholarships were also handed over.

"Earlier there was also compensation. So maybe a claim for employment is like the janitor who had an accident," he said.

There is also social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs which was handed over by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin to 50 elderly people in Surabaya, the total reached Rp. 82,893,600. The assistance consisted of PKH for 31 PM each Rp600 thousand for a total of Rp18.6 million.

Then, the Basic Food Program/Non-Cash Food Program (BPNT) for 40 PM is IDR 400 thousand each for a total of IDR 16 million. Then, BLT Migor for 40 people is IDR 300 thousand for a total of IDR 12 million and ATENSI assistance for 10 PM is IDR 36,293,600.

In addition to social assistance for 50 people, ATENSI assistance in the form of entrepreneurship was also given to 10 elderly people in the city of Surabaya. There is also entrepreneurship assistance provided, namely, for the business of grocery stalls, rice stalls and selling mobile dumplings.

In the same place, the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, said that there were around 60 residents who received the aid that was handed over directly by the Vice President.

With details, namely, 50 recipients of the BLT cooking oil social assistance, Non-Cash Food Assistance and the Family Hope Program (PKH). Meanwhile, 10 other residents are recipients of the ATENSI program from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"So the total, God willing, is almost 60 people. Some have received business assistance, assistance (BLT) for cooking oil, there is also assistance from employment and BAZNAS which is distributed," said Mas Eri on a close call.

Eri Cahyadi ensured that all MBR recipients of the social assistance were residents of the city of Surabaya. Dozens of beneficiaries of this assistance, some of whom also received equipment for entrepreneurship. "Thank you for the assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs, so the residents of Surabaya must be able to change. So as I said, we provide capital for them to try," he said.

According to him, this MBR cannot always rely on BLT. Therefore, the Surabaya City Government is keen to empower MBR through asset utilization so that they are expected to be independent and prosperous in the future.

"So slowly there are those who are assisted by the Social Minister, some are using the assets of the municipal government. God willing, hopefully this year it can change, many of the MBR have businesses and jobs," he said.
