Police Arrest Thief In Cirebon Disguised Wearing A Floral Mukena, This Is What He Looks Like
CIREBON - The Cirebon City Police Satreskrim Team, West Java Police arrested the perpetrators of the theft with weights by tricking officers into wearing mukena and masks while in action.
"During the action, the perpetrator entered the shopping center area by covering himself using a mask and mukena," said Cirebon City Police Chief AKBP Fahri Siregar, quoted by Antara, Thursday, June 2.
Fahri said the suspect who was arrested had the initials MN (34), a resident of Balapulang, Tegal Regency, Central Java.
Suspect MN, said Fahri, stole in a shopping center in Cirebon City. When carrying out the action, the perpetrator entered wearing a mukena and a mask to trick the officers.
By disguising himself, the suspect managed to bring some items from one of the tenants, such as two cell phones and a laptop.
"We managed to catch the perpetrator on Thursday (2/5) early in the morning at around 01.30 WIB at his rented house in Central Java," he also said.
Fahri said the suspect and the evidence were immediately taken to the Lemahwungkuk Police Headquarters, Cirebon City Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
From the suspect's hands, officers confiscated evidence in the form of two mobile phones, a mukena, and a laptop.
"For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with a weighted penalty of seven years in prison," he said.
